Robert (Bob) Parmelee, chairman of the board of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T), is a Fort Worth attorney, appointed to The T board in 2005 by Fort Worth Councilman Jungus Jordan – District 6.
He has a strong background in public transportation having previously served as The T’s attorney.
Parmelee was elected vice chairman of The T board in 2007 and became chairman in 2008.
He is The T’s representative on the Regional Transportation Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments and on Fort Worth’s Modern Streetcar Committee.
Parmelee is an active member of the Tarrant County, Texas and American Bar Associations. He also serves on the Fort Worth Business and Estate Law Council and is former chairman of the Fort Worth Real Estate and Commercial Law Council.
His community leadership includes the Longhorn Council of Boy Scouts of America and Fort Worth Sister Cities International.
