FORT WORTH (October 12, 2011) -- Richard Maxwell, assistant vice president of marketing for The T, was appointed to the board of the American Public Transportation Association at its annual meeting in October.
Maxwell will serve as the 2011-2012 Chair of the APTA Marketing and Communications Committee. He was vice chair in 2010-2011 and has served on its steering committee since 2000. He was also chair of the Ridership Subcommittee, and the Customer Service Challenge Task Force.
Maxwell joined The T in 2002 and has more than 25 years experience in marketing management. Prior to The T, he was director of marketing for Metro Transit in Oklahoma City.
Maxwell is past chair of the North Texas Clean Air Coalition, past chairman of the marketing committee for Artes de la Rosa Theater, past president of the Fort Worth Chapter of International Association of Business communicators (IABC) and a member of the Leadership Fort Worth Class of 2003.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration in marketing from Oklahoma University and a master’s degree in management from Southern Nazarene University.
