FORT WORTH (November 19, 2009) -- The T’s board of directors announced the reappointment of board members and re-elected its current officers for 2010 at its monthly meeting on November 19.
Robert (Bob) Parmelee was re-elected chairman; Gary Cumbie, will serve as vice chairman; and Gary Havener was re-elected secretary.
Parmelee is a principal with Williams, McClure and Parmelee, P.C., a Fort Worth law firm. He was appointed to the board in 2005 by Fort Worth City Councilmember Jungus Jordan, District 6.
Cumbie, special assistant to the Chancellor, Tarrant County College, was appointed to the board in 2007 by Danny Scarth, City Councilmember from District 4.
Havener, a Fort Worth developer, has served on The T board since 2002. He was originally appointed by the late Chuck Silcox, who was City Councilmember for District 3 and now reappointed by City Councilmember W.B. Zimmerman.
Other reappointed board members and their appointing council member for 2010 are Reby Cary, District 5, Frank Moss; Rosa Navejar, District 2, Sal Espino; Bob Jameson, District 7, Carter Burdette; Curtis Toombs, District 8, Kathleen Hicks and Mary Volcansek, District 9, Joel Burns. Also, Jeane Grisham, representing Tarrant County Commissioners Court, continues to serve.
