*Regular bus routes to Stock Show also operate from downtown TRE stop Monday - Saturday
FORT WORTH (January 8, 2010) – Rein in the traffic by riding The T’s Stock Show Shuttles for a dollar each way every weekend of the 2010 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
The T will run special shuttle buses to Will Rogers Memorial Center every half hour from park and ride lots at Ridgmar Mall (near Macy’s) and every 20 minutes from Billy Bob’s North Lot at the Stockyards on Saturdays and Sundays during the Stock Show & Rodeo, Jan. 16 - Feb. 7.
Trinity Railway Express (TRE) passengers may use The T’s regular bus service free of charge with their same-day TRE day pass to get to the Stock Show Monday through Saturday. (Weekly, monthly or annual TRE passes also apply.) It’s a 15 minute ride between the TRE stop at the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) and the Will Rogers Memorial Center. (There are no Sunday TRE trains.)
The T’s shuttle buses will pick up riders from the park and ride lots starting from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Jan. 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31 and Feb. 6 and 7. At Ridgmar Mall, the bus stop is on the mall’s service road near Macy’s. At Billy Bob’s, buses will enter the parking lot from 27th Street and pick up passengers at the north end of the lot.
Ridgmar Mall – The shuttle will pick up passengers near Macy’s every half hour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It is a 15-minute trip to the Stock Show’s Will Rogers Memorial Center. The last shuttle return to Ridgmar leaves the Stock Show at 7:15 p.m.
Billy Bob’s – The shuttle will pick up passengers at the north lot every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6:40 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It is a 15-minute trip to the Stock Show’s Will Rogers Memorial Center. The last shuttle return to the Billy Bob’s lot leaves the Stock Show at 7 p.m.
TRE – Arriving westbound TRE passengers should get off at the ITC and board either Route 2/Camp Bowie or Route 7/University to Will Rogers Memorial Center. The TRE day pass ticket also covers a free round trip bus ride to and from the Will Rogers Memorial Center, which takes approximately 15 minutes each way.
TRE riders may check The T’s website for daily and Saturday arrival and departure schedules of the TRE, to and from the ITC, and for Route 2/ Camp Bowie and Route 7/University buses, to and from Will Rogers Memorial Center and the ITC.
