The T will return to operation on 9th Street between the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) and Throckmorton on Monday, April 18, with stops across from the City Hall and Federal office building complex at the new 9th Street Hyde Park Transit Plaza passenger shelters on 9th at Throckmorton.
Bus routes that will stop at Hyde Park Transit Plaza headed outbound (west) from the ITC are Route 1 North Main, Route 17/Central and Route 46/Jacksboro Highway. From the Hyde Park stop, they will turn north on Throckmorton.
Bus Route 1/Hemphill will travel inbound (east) to the ITC with a stop at Hyde Park Transit Plaza. Route 1 enters downtown from Lancaster, and then turns north onto Jennings Street, to 12th St. then north on Throckmorton to 9th St where it heads east.
The time schedules for the buses that use 9th Street to and from the ITC to Hyde Park Transit Plaza near the government office complex will not change.
The Hyde Park transit plaza passenger shelter/stop provides easy access to the city and federal offices as well as convenient transit travel to visit Hyde Park.
Other bus routes that have been on detour during the re-construction of 9th Street will return to their regular routing with the following exceptions:
Route 1/Hemphill will travel outbound (west) from the ITC on 9th Street, then turn south on Houston St to Lancaster and then Jennings.
Route 7/University will travel outbound (west) from the ITC on 9th Street, then turn south on Houston St. to Lancaster.
Route 61/Normandale afternoon route will travel outbound (west) on 9th, turn south on Houston to Lancaster Ave.
Express 61, 65, 66 and 68 afternoon routes will begin on 9th street from Hyde Park Transit Plaza.
