Rosa Navejar tapped for national transit post
FORT WORTH (September 5, 2008) -- Rosa Navejar, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a member of The T’s board of directors, was selected by the Transit Board Members Committee of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) as the Regional Representative for APTA Region V, effective October 1.
Navejar will represent the interests of public transportation agency board members in the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. She also will be responsible for increasing participation at the national level of transit board members in these states. Navejar was appointed to The T’s board of directors in 2007.
“This is a great honor for both Rosa and The T and a terrific opportunity to bring added recognition at the national level for the expansion of transit that is underway in the Fort Worth, the state of Texas and the Southwest,” said Dick Ruddell, president of The T.
