RACE PAST MOTORISTS ON T’S SHUTTLES TO TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
FORT WORTH (April 2, 2007) Speedway fans can race past motorists straight into Texas Motor Speedway if they use special bus shuttles available during the finals weekend of Nascar Busch and Nextel series races.
The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (T) and Texas Motor Speedway will provide “Victory Lane Express” bus service from Tarrant County College District’s Northwest Campus for the O’Reilly 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, April 14 and for the Samsung 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race on Sunday, April 15.
Fans can park at the TCCD Northwest Campus at 4801 Marine Creek Parkway. Buses depart from the campus from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. on both days and begin returning 30 minutes after the race ends. The last returning bus leaves the speedway 90 minutes after the race ends.
“Victory Lane Express” passengers will be dropped off and picked up in the Speedway’s bus parking area located just off SH 114 and Allison Ave on the south side of the speedway. The bus departure location at the speedway is one of the quickest ways off the property following a race event.
The cost is only $10.00 per person roundtrip each day.
The T provides the service as a less expensive and convenient alternative for those who don't want to fight the traffic going to and from the race.
