T adds peak-time express bus on busiest route to and from downtown
FORT WORTH (January 17, 2008) – The T will begin a new express weekday bus service that will operate non-stop between the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) downtown and the East Transfer Center on East Lancaster during morning and evening peaks starting Monday, January 28.

The new Route 60 express is designed to address increased passenger growth on  Route 2 – E. Lancaster.

“This new express route will offer passengers who currently transfer to Route 2 at the East Transfer Center another option for travel to and from downtown and help to reduce significant overcapacity of buses traveling this route during peak periods,” said T president Dick Ruddell.

The new Route 60 express will operate beginning at the ITC every half-hour from 6:47 to 8:47 a.m. during the morning peak and from 3:28 to 7:28 p.m. during the evening peak.

Other service changes include minor time adjustments to the following routes: Route 1- Hemphill; Route 2 – East Lancaster; Route 6 – 8th Ave./McCart/Hulen Mall; Route 7 – University; Route 21– Boca Raton;  Route 25 - Crosstown and Route 46 – Jacksboro Hwy.  These changes are effective on Sunday, January 27.

For more specific details about the changes, call 817-215-8600 or visit www.the-t.com.  The T’s bus route and schedule information are available on The T website at www.the-t.com.  Or pick up copies of the updated schedules on T buses.
